Filters and presets in the web app

The sidebar on every tool page decides which surebets reach your screen: the bookmakers you hold, the markets and periods you hide, the exchange commission and minimum liquidity, and your Settings. Save a setup as a preset and switch between setups from the top of the sidebar.

Since September 2026 the web app has the desktop app's filters. That's a lot of control packed into a narrow column, and it cuts both ways: one forgotten setting can hide exactly the surebet you were waiting for. Here's what each part of the sidebar does, how presets keep your setups apart, and what to check when an arb seems to be missing.

Where everything lives #

Open any tool page: Surebets, Middles or Polish Middles, under PreMatch or InPlay. The sidebar on the left has five sections (Settings, Bookmakers, Markets, Periods and Live Chat), and the Preset menu sits above them because a preset covers the first four at once. Every change asks for a fresh list straight away, so you see its effect without reloading.

Bookmakers #

Tick the bookmakers you actually hold accounts at and the feed only shows arbs you can place. Each box moves through three states as you click it: empty, a tick and a square. The legend under the list names them: show odds for the tick, must exist for the square. Hide unchecked trims the list to the bookmakers you've marked.

Exchange commission and minimum liquidity #

Two columns sit next to the bookmaker names: Comm.% and Min.Liq.. They're filled in and editable only for a bookmaker that has default values, which today means Betfair. Our scanners apply both when they build your list:

  • Comm.% is the exchange's commission. It lowers the exchange price the arb is worked out with. You can raise it to match your own rate, but you can't go below the default: a lower number snaps back to it.
  • Min.Liq. is the least money that has to be available at the exchange price. Any exchange price with less liquidity than your minimum is left out of your list. An empty field or 0 means the default.

On the cards, an exchange leg shows the commission applied next to the exchange's name and the money available under Liquidity. In the calculator, the Comm. column holds the commission taken off that leg's price.

Hiding markets and periods #

Both panels hide what you tick. They're filters, not a list of everything we scan: Markets shows the market types you can hide, from Goals: 1X2 and Goals: Asian Handicap to Corners: Over/Under. A market's box cycles through empty, a tick and a square, and the two marks don't do the same thing:

  • The tick hides an arb when that market is in all of its outcomes.
  • The square hides an arb when that market is in any of its outcomes. It's the wider net.

The box at the top of the list ticks every market at once. Periods is simpler: Full time, First half and Second half, one tick each. Tick Full time and you're left with first- and second-half arbs only. Great if you only bet half lines, a nasty surprise if you ticked it by accident.

Settings #

Settings holds the limits and alerts for the page you're on:

  • Arbitrage filter: Min % and Max %. On Middles and Polish Middles the limit is a value, not a percentage.
  • Alarm: a sound when an arb passes the level you set, with a list of sounds and a Play button to hear them first.
  • Show arbitrages if: conditions such as Legs are and, on PreMatch, Settled in hours.
  • On InPlay the same group adds live conditions, among them Event is on Half time, Current score is Draw and Odds lower than.

Surebets, Middles and Polish Middles each keep their own Settings, because their limits mean different things.

Presets #

The Preset menu at the top of the sidebar shows the preset in use, Default until you make your own. A preset keeps your bookmaker ticks, exchange fees, hidden markets and periods, and each tool's Settings. From the menu you can:

  • Switch: pick a name and the whole sidebar changes with it.
  • Save as a new preset: copies what's on screen under a new name and makes it the preset in use.
  • Rename: the pencil turns the name into a text field. Enter saves it, Escape keeps the old name.
  • Delete: asks first, then removes the preset with its bookmakers, markets, periods and settings. Delete the one you're using and you land back on Default.

PreMatch and InPlay keep separate presets. Inside each, one preset serves Surebets, Middles and Polish Middles, while Settings stay per page. Default can't be renamed or deleted, every name has to be unique, and quotes and backslashes aren't allowed. A reload opens the preset you used last.

Named presets need a signed-in account. Without one, the menu shows Sign in to save your own presets instead.

Reset to defaults #

Settings, Bookmakers, Markets and Periods each have a Reset to defaults button in their header. It only works when there's something to reset, and it only touches the preset in use. Markets and Periods go back to hiding nothing, Settings to the page's defaults. Bookmakers asks before it acts, then ticks every bookmaker again and puts the exchange fees back to their defaults.

When a surebet seems to be missing #

Another scanner shows an arb your list doesn't? Go through the sidebar in this order:

  1. Preset: is the one in use the one you think it is? Each preset carries its own filters.
  2. Bookmakers: both bookmakers of the arb are ticked.
  3. Markets and Periods: neither the market nor the period is hidden, and remember the square hides more than the tick.
  4. Min.Liq.: your exchange minimum isn't above the liquidity on offer.
  5. Settings: the arb sits inside your Arbitrage filter limits, and nothing under Show arbitrages if rules it out.

Reset to defaults in each panel undoes your changes in seconds. If the arb still doesn't show up with every panel at its defaults, it may sit on a market or bookmaker we don't cover: we don't scan every market at every bookmaker.
